Tibet is a region on the Tibetan Plateau in Eastern Asia. It is the traditional homeland of the Tibetan people as well as some other ethnic groups such as Monpa, Qiang and Lhoba peoples and is now also inhabited by considerable numbers of Han Chinese and Hui people.  Tibet is the highest region on Earth, with an average elevation of 4,900 m. The highest elevation in Tibet is Mount Everest, earth's highest mountain rising 8,848 m above sea level. There are over 800 settlements in Tibet. Lhasa is Tibet's traditional capital and the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region. It contains two world heritage sites – the Potala Palace and Norbulingka, which were the residences of the Dalai Lama. Lhasa contains a number of significant temples and monasteries,  including Jokhang and Ramoche Temple.Shigatse is the second largest city in the Tibet AR, west of Lhasa. Gyantse and Qamdo are also amongst the largest.Other cities and towns in cultural Tibet include Shiquanhe (Ali), Nagchu, Bamda, Rutog, Nyingchi, Nedong, Coqên, Barkam, Sakya, Gartse, Pelbar, Lhatse, and Tingri; in Sichuan, Kangding (Dartsedo); in Qinghai, Jyekundo (Yushu), Machen, and Golmud;in India, Tawang, Leh, and Gangtok.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu Transfer to hotel and tour briefing at evening.

Day 2 - After breakfast Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Preparation for tours.

Day 3 - Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa Gonggar Airport (3650m) and drive to lhasa city.

Arrival in Lhasa Gongar Airport pick-up and transfer to the hotel. Pick-up from Lhasa airport by our company representative local English-speaking tour guides and then transfers you to the hotel.

Day 4 - After breakfast Lhasa sightseeing in Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple Barkhor street.

After breakfast Full day Lhasa sightseeing to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple Barkhor street. After breakfast Pick-up from hotel, and then sightseeing to the famous Potala palace and back to Restaurant having lunch then after, visit to the holy Jokhang temple, which was built during sorngtsen gonpo's period by princess of wencheng in Great Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD). The circular pilgrim way around Jokhang temple is named Barkhor and later flourished, forming the embryo of the city. The barkhor market is one of the most famous sites throughout Tibet, and it is the ideal place to buy traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, Tibetan music instrument, Thangkas, and traditional Tibetan clothes.

Day 5 - After breakfast Lhasa sightseeing in Drepung, sera Monastery andTibet Museum.

After breakfast Full day Lhasa sightseeing to Drepung, and sera Monastery, Tibet Museum. Drepung monastery is located at the foot of a holy mountain and was established by Jamyang Choeje (a follower to Songtsen Gonpo) in 1416. It was used to the home of 10,000 monks and it was the centre government before fifth dalai- lama and then, the government was moved to the famous Potala palace.You can also visit the Nechung monastery which located 1km southeast of Drepung and is the abode of the protector deity pehar and the seat of the state Oracle of Tibet. We will visit to the sera monastery also it was founded in 1419 by Jamyang Choeje . . Afternoon, we will visit Tibet museum as Tibet's first museum in the modem sense, the museum of Tibet, situated at the south eastern corner of the Buddhist religious garden Norbulingka in Lhasa, was inaugurated in October 1999 on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding the People's Republic of China and the 40th anniversary of the Democratic Reforms in Tibet as the product of 62 Chinese government funded projects launched in July 1994 in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Autonomous Region of Tibet.

Day 6 - After break-fast drive to Namtcho Lake and back to Lhasa.

After break-fast drive to Namtcho Lake and back to Lhasa. While on the way,will see beautiful Nyenchen Thanglha and snowy mountains. We will have chances to escort at the grassland, visit the nomad family and walk into the tent to drink the fresh yak milk, talk with the Tibetan Children, etc. Namtcho Lake is the very beautifull Lake it is about 5,000 meters high and lies on the highest plateau in the world. Which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet , as well people can do a relax trekking around the lakeside. The scenery on the lakeshore is splendid, the clear sky is so clean that you will see all the stars twinkling and shinning, so close to you as if you could stretch your hands to pick them down. Namtcho lake is the actually lake in the sky. We shall have a chance to enjoy the hot-spring at Yangbachen on the way back to Lhasa.

Day 7 - After breakfast drive to Gonger Airport and flight back to kathmandu.

Early morning have some break fast and then drive to Gonger airport it will take 1 hrs. check in to the airport for the customs formalities then after flight to Kathmandu upon arrival and pick up from there and drop to the hotel. Lets them free for your activities.

The booking terms and conditions contain thorough information that you need to know, so we encourage you to read them very carefully before contracting with Kailash View Tours & Treks Pvt.Ltd.

The following booking terms and conditions apply for all trips organized by us.

  1. Good health and physical fitness is required for all trips. So we would like to advise you to check your health condition before you book the trip.
  2. Travellers trekkers must have Travel insurance which covers accidents, emergency evacuation in case of you need to be rescued.
  3. When you confirm the trip, we need 30% advance of the total trip cost with a copy of your passport for reservation of the flight Ticket, Hotel Accommodation and trekking permit process. The rest of the payment you will make when you arrive in Nepal.
  4. You may use any means of payment such as western union, bank transfer, visa card or master card.
    After receiving a copy of your passport and the 30% advance then we will send you the final confirmation email.

  5. If you cancel your booking after you have paid or deposited for booking, the following percentage will be charged for cancellation:-
  6. There will be a cancellation fee of 30% for any cancellation Four weeks prior to tour departure date, 60% two weeks prior to tour departure date and no refund thereafter. No refund for no shows & delay arrivals whatsoever reason.

Note: But you may extend your trip without cancellation and charge till one year but we need to be informed through mail at least 2 weeks before the trip departure & you will have to pay the increased amount if the cost of the trip increased due to increment on the Local stuff used in the Trip.
